Eye care professionals and their staff often tell us how we are doing by mail, email and by phone. Some point out the extra attention a customer service representative offered, the speed in which their office or patient received an order or the invaluable advice they were given from someone on the ODG Board of Advisors.
Many tell us that although at first they thought it was a mistake to allow their patients to reorder their contact lenses online, just the opposite was true. Instead of negatively impacting their contact lens practice, online ordering had a very positive effect.
We're told that by offering the option to buy replacement contact lenses online, the same patients that were going elsewhere to purchase, are returning to their practice and revenues are up. Interestingly, increased online sales is reflective in our business as well. Today, nearly 20% of ODG's sales are now generated from your online orders and this number is increasing each month.
With more ECPs recognizing the value we bring as an authorized distributor, we're both proud and gratified to tell you that in the coming months we will be doubling the size of out current warehouse and distribution center. This will enable us to explore new categories of products for your practice and expand the products we offer for same or next day delivery.
I also want to thank all our loyal customers for helping us to help those who were victims of Katrina. It is because of your purchases that we were able to donate over $20,000 to The American Red Cross for relief efforts. Our prayers and thoughts are with those who have touched our lives.
